The "Red Rose Lancaster Band" is the result of a merger between the once famous "Storeys of Lancaster" brass band and the Red Rose Youth Band.

Initially providing an outlet for the young members of the Youth Band once they had reached the stage to move on, the band now has its own identity and is the only Brass Band in Lancaster that welcomes players of all ages and abilities, past and new.

The band is at the moment, non-contesting, but has several engagements booked this summer (2007).

We are looking to recruit players and have vacancies for Trombone, Euphonium and Baritone players, though NO-ONE is ever refused a seat. We will also be looking to appoint a new conductor over the next few months, but in the meantime its Business as Usual!

Rehearsals are held twice weekly on Wednesday and Friday evenings between 7.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m., and anyone interested in joining us for a blow can get directions to the band room imply by contacting us.
